The table brings together school holiday arrangements around Easter in 2025 for every state and territory. Each holiday entry gives the department's break name, first and last day, length in weekdays and first day back at school. Easter can fall within the autumn break in one state and during term in another; where it falls in term, the row identifies the following break. Periods calculated from the gap between published terms are marked as derived. States without published term dates are labelled as not published. Which school holiday period is shown
Each row selects the break containing Good Friday through Easter Monday, using that year's published public holiday list. If the department publishes only term dates, the break between them is calculated and marked as derived. Where no break contains Easter, the row says it falls in term and names the following break. Unreleased term calendars are marked as not published.
