About this guide

What this guide covers

School term dates are copied from the official pages of each state or territory education department. Public holiday dates come from each government's public holiday page. If this guide differs from an official page, follow the official page.

Only published, verified dates appear. Years for which dates have not been published are identified as unpublished.

School holiday periods calculated from published term dates are marked as derived, so you can tell them apart from periods listed by an official source.
