When no period is printed but both school dates are published, the break extends from the day after the year's last school day to the day before the next year's first school day, and these calculated rows carry a derived label. The return shown is the published first day for students where available; otherwise the row names the term start and notes any school development days it includes.

Why are the summer holidays over Christmas 2027 longer in some states than others?
